Hearing the story of a CSU alumnus who in wanting to fit in mailed himself his own care package was the catalyst that sparked a flame that has fueled the Care Package Project at CSU. Each semester the Fostering Success Program provides hundreds of care packages to current students from foster care providing a gift and familial support system for foster students.

We provide new foster students with basic necessities for life in the residence halls with a ‘move-in’ package containing such items as sheets and towels. Then, we provide all foster youth with two packages in the fall and three in the spring.  We send necessities such as school supplies and basic and personal care items as well as seasonal items such as gloves and hats.

The program runs by the generous donations from community members. If you would like to mail a donation to the Fostering Success Program please contact Kathy Lassen or Ginny Fanning to see what the current needs are.

If you would like to make a financial contribution online, please follow the link to our online giving page to donate funds for Scholarships and care packages.
