Daniels Boundless Opportunity Scholarship

The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative. The Boundless Opportunity Scholarship benefits motivated non-traditional students who recognize the power of education to create a better life for themselves and their families. The scholarship is offered to non-traditional students from defined student populations who are legal residents of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming.



At Colorado State University, we offer the Boundless Opportunity Scholarship Program to students entering in the fall 2019 with demonstrated financial need calculated using the FAFSA and who meet one of the following criteria:

  • Adult learners
  • GED recipients
  • Former foster care youth
  • Returning military

To be eligible students must:

  • Plan to enroll full-time at Colorado State University, Fort Collins campus during the 2019-2020 academic year and subsequent academic years.  Full-time enrollment implies that a student is enrolled in at least 12 regular on-campus credits per semester.  Test-Out and Audited Courses are not considered regular on-campus credits.
  • Provide plan of study and be graduating within 2 years of enrolling at CSU (spring 2021).
  • To be eligible, an applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, as well as a legal resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming.
  • Meet all scholarship requirements found on the application page.


A 2 year scholarship of up to $5000 per year.


Applications will be posted in spring of 2019.
